Several state and local jurisdictions have pay-to-play laws that classify personal political contributions from certain employees as contributions made by the company. To safeguard the company’s ability to conduct business, these employees must obtain pre-approval for their state and local personal political contributions through this system.
Covered employees typically include individuals with titles of Vice President and above, those with similar decision-making authority, employee lobbyists, or employees who reside or work in the State of Pennsylvania.
